Cambodia Holds Vigil for Peace in Ukraine

PHNOM PENH: On Saturday, 5 March 2022, a group of local and international community members held a vigil for peace in Ukraine at Salabon Sen Sok pagoda, Phnom Penh.

The community members in attendance ranged from Asians to Westerners, who all came together to light candles, say prayers and meditate good energy, hoping for the war in Ukraine to come to an end and for peace to be restored once again.

Both adults and children lined up to place lotus flowers in front of the Buddha statue after meditation. Four monks blessed the vigil with Buddhist chantings, and then everyone went home.
